A North African and Levantine dining experience within The Primo Collective, where the spatial design draws from centuries of Maghrebi and Levantine material culture to create an interior that feels excavated rather than decorated.

Sāhtain is a North African and Levantine restaurant at The Primo by Mann and Salwa, Ahmedabad, sitting alongside Sora and Vyanj within the same destination dining collective.

Storm's scope covered the complete brand identity and spatial design, from the naming and logotype through to the architecture, interior, materiality, and environmental details. The design language is rooted in the material and craft traditions of North Africa and the Levant. Carved wooden panels reference historical timelines from 1700 CE onward. The draped ceiling forms draw from two sources simultaneously, the textile traditions of the region and the undulating geometry of desert sand dunes, so the space above you carries both the weight of craft and the lightness of landscape. Geometric tile work, burnished surfaces, warm terracotta and deep burgundy anchor the palette. The private dining space, with its glass walls and intimate scale, holds a different atmosphere from the main room while remaining unmistakably part of the same world.

The result is a space that does not perform its cultural references but inhabits them, layered, tactile, and considered at every scale.
